El Jannah
2019–2020
Senior Designer
I was an in-house brand and marketing designer at El Jannah between November 2019 - August 2020. I’ve been fortunate to work on small and large scaled projects ranging from packaging, website landing pages, in-store POS displays, social media, new store openings and many more.
My daily tasks may vary from analysing weekly sales reports, preparing marketing campaigns, liaising with photographers for our next photoshoot, meetings with management to discuss changes in operations, create and organise promotional materials for all 7 stores, online customer service and feedback where needed, communicating with third party suppliers and absolutely everything related to the design process.
Below are a few of my favourite projects.

I introduced a new design direction to El Jannah in February 2020. The new direction was to:
• Depict El Jannah’s family orientated values through photos of happy customers, staff members and vibrant photos
• Make El Jannah’s brand more recognisable by the use of colour and consistency across all platforms
• Take professional styled photos that look irresistible and go viral!
To achieve this new direction, I was involved in directing our photographer, our stylist and liaising with our social media agency to perfect our campaigns. All post production of images including editing, colour correction and animation is self achieved. Note: video work can be available upon request.

Instore Paper bags
When I commenced employment with El Jannah, they were looking for a designer who could quickly turn around designs, liaise with the production team and manage the design process from concept to finalised product.
El Jannah was utilising their old packaging for many years. This needed a change to meet new menu item requirements and evolve into a more environmentally friendly brand.
The most prominent change was the evolution of their plastic bags to new paper bags. We chose 3 sizes that would accomodate all menu items and could be used with our delivery partners UberEats, Menulog and DoorDash. Production took 8 weeks from the artwork proof sign off and was rolled out across 7 NSW stores.

Iconic Chicken Box
El Jannah’s legendary Charcoal Chicken & newly launched Fried Chicken now has a new packaging look! These boxes are due to launch in August 2020 across all restaurants along with a new line of Fried Chicken Drumsticks, Tenders and Fried Wings.
The design of the box show’s El Jannah’s branding in 360 angles focusing on their bright green, food imagery, branding icons and of course their signature logo

FRIED CHICKEN CAMPAIGN
El Jannah’s Fried Chicken Campaign launched March 2020 at their flagship stores in Granville and Newtown. It was an absolute hit with delivery partners increasing in sales, instore queues lining out the door (despite COVID) and social media comments going viral. Fried Chicken was later released in July across Campbelltown, Punchbowl, Penrith and Blacktown.
For this project I was involved in creating all marketing assets ranging from
instore posters, outdoor vinyl banners, window decals, digital menuboards, online website imagery, social media posts and updating our delivery partners to schedule for the launch.
The poster above required professional photography by the help of our photographer and stylist. It was then deep etched and the poster came to live using photoshop. The vinyl banner on the bottom was printed and installed at El Jannah Campbelltown targeting cars and pedestrians.

Digital Menuboards
El Jannah will soon be rolling out Digital Menuboards across all stores. I was involved in creating all digital assets for this project and liaising with our photographer, media companies and Coca Cola Amatil for instore promotions. The feature screens alternate depending on the time of the day. i.e. Burgers and Fried Chicken hero images are display during lunch hours and family meals are shown after 5pm to target larger groups.
